Shark Attacks

Most shark attacks take place around the United States, specifically around Florida. According to the USA Beach Injuries and Fatalities statistics from the year 2000, the odds of being attacked by a shark are 1 in 11.5 million. Shark attacks have been rising as beach attendance has risen according to records from 1994-2000. In Florida, most shark attacks have taken place in the month of September than any other month. The least have taken place in January and December.
